The Light Guys’ Christmas story started like most Christmas stories: with a wish.

Growing up, our founder Brendan Collins would hang lights with his family around the beginning of the holiday season. Doing so was a family tradition that he would cherish every year. It not only brought his family together, but it also spread cheer to his neighbors that coming home from work, and to pedestrians walking by his family house.

As more Christmases started to pass, Brendan began to think about spreading some colorful Christmas spirit throughout his hometown of Bakersfield, California.

He had dreams of having the town be lit up by beautiful Christmas lights and spectacular decorations.

During the Christmas season of 2008, Brendan started to hang up lights for his fellow neighbors. Eventually, he began to hang up lights for people all around the city of Bakersfield. At the Light Guys, we put Brendan’s wishes of a beautiful Christmas season for everyone to heart.
